Become a Pathologist in Autopsy Simulator
I love murder mysteries. The drama, the search for clues, and I found the autopsy portion very fascinating. Used to say how do they know how he died, and as they explained how they came to their conclusions it struck me as they were like Sherlock Holmes with dead bodies.
So naturally when I saw Autopsy Simulator on Steam Next Fest I added it to my list of games I needed to demo. A game being developed and published by Woodland Games. In the demo you end up getting a phone call where someone is trying to talk to you, and you begrudgingly slam the phone down. This is where the demo begins.
At the beginning of the demo the man remarks that he needs his pills you walk across to be what appears to be a public bathroom where your pills are located, after taking your pills and not washing your hands. We then go look for the VHS camcorder. So that we can record our autopsy for college students. This is where you find your first body and you begin the autopsy.
Graphics 4.5/5
The graphics are really good as you look around everything looks very grungy and realistic. Really pulling you into the autopsy feel. The graphics are not over the top, but the game is an Autopsy simulator and for that they are spot on.
Audio 4.5/5
The Music is eerie and ominous. First start of the game I was thinking that there really isn't no real danger in this game the body isn't going to get up and try to bite me. As the game progresses with the music in the background I got an uneasy feeling, not to mention the sounds that might make you jump. Don't want to ruin it.
Controls 4/5
Controls are not difficult to manage and is pretty straight forward. There is even times where the generous hints throughout the game to make sure you are performing movements correctly. As you pull organs out which is alarmingly enjoyable to using different tools to dissect the organs to dig for more clues.
Story 4.5/5
You would think a simulator game might not have a story or a in depth story however, throughout the demo game play I slowly started to get the vibe that this game wasn't just a autopsy game but also had a hit of horror game feel to it. This feeling comes from all the things that slowly start happening around you.
Conclusion 4.5/5
I would highly recommend you play this demo and if you like it to put it on your wish list. I myself after playing the Demo look forward to the games release to quench my thirst for curiosity as to what happens next in this story.
