Going into the Food Truck Business
Food Truck Simulator the first game I played on Steam Next Fest and the one game I am still in love with!
Steam Next Fest is upon us, and there are so many great Indie game demos to play. As someone who works in nutrition and loves to cook. Food Truck Simulator screamed for my attention.
Gameplay 4/5
Gameplay is for the most part smooth driving isn't difficult. The cooking for the most part is smooth however, there are times where they game feels clunky when trying to move the items in relation to where you want them to be placed. The knife cutting as well seems a little wonky to me the mouse changes direction as you roll it when you're cutting, and this will cause you to struggle with completing orders in time.
Graphics 4.5/5
Graphics are as good as you could imagine for food truck simulator. It looks realistic and most paart very clean. There are some things that could use some cleaning up but overall, the graphics gave me the feeling like I was in my own food truck. The designs for the food truck are pretty awesome.
Sound 4.5/5
Sound was good all around. Really isn't much that I could imagine the audio being an issue with a Food Truck Simulator. I can say that Claira did sound like a young woman trying to sound like and older lady. The radio stations were not bad but could be nice to get more options.
Final Score 4.25/5
Overall, for the demo of this game I really enjoyed it. With a couple of issues here and there that is normal for a simulator and the fact that I wasn't able to cook the food exactly how I would however, Overall, really enjoy the game and the story element to the game seem intriguing to me. I placed the game on my Steam wish list, and look forward to playing it more in the future.
